21 -22 months

A cookie in the left, a brownie in the right, a piece of cake on his plate.
It's really hard to say NO to him.

I started this post way back when he was 21 months, now he's heading to 23! So much has happened in these weeks. He is his own man, a force to be reckoned with, a charmer, entertainer, sponge, whiner, conversationalist and buddy.
Here he is with friends and family on recent visits.

Sometimes Vince tells us "one minute"
or sends us to "time out". He tells us when it's
bedtime, bathtime and food time.
He asks for a hug and kiss when saying good bye.
Turns the tv on and says "Daddy basketball game". Sometimes he calls one of us "babe", like we call each other. He's told us to "calm down" if we are yelling, "careful" when we are driving and hit a bump. "Tickle tickle" is sometimes "gobble gobble". He likes to make tunnles (cardboard boxes, blankets, books, legs). When we drive by the library or fire station he says "I want go there". He's become a fan of the movies (Winnie the Pooh, Dora, Elmo) He watched all of Sleepless in Seattle and picked up on the little boys name, Jonah. He can talk on the phone. It is very rare that he is awake and not jumping up and down or "bouncing". He says "I'm beautiful" after combing his hair. He'll drag the chair over to the sink when I'm doing dishes or laundry to "help". He likes to count our fingers, "1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10" and then says "my turn" and we have to count his. One morning I woke up to "knock knock" on my head! He opens my wallet often to take the change for his piggy bank. And so much more. Every day is a new sitcom.
A visit with Great Great aunt and uncle.

"I did it" "choo choo"Washing dishes.

rock'n'roll

Happy Birthday Gloria!
Vince was resistant to give Gloria her gifts, he wanted to open them. Vince didn't let us sit down. He got us all up to dance. "Everybody up!"
Vince sang "Rainbow" with lots of emotion. We don't know the song, he must have learned it at school. It was awesome.
Finally he let us sit down.
