Journey to Bethleham

Our journey started in the church to watch a play of the story leading up to Mary and Joseph leaving for Bethleham. When Ceasar said "Guard" to the Roman guard his Massachusetts accent led Vince to yell out, "that's God!"

From the church we were sent to a tent where we were each given a card with an assigned name from the Bible. I was Sarah, Gramma was Rachel and Vince was Nathan. When I told him that the card said he was a fisherman, Vince corrected me and said loudly "no it says I'm a cowboy." Then we walked through the woods stopping at many bonfires to learn that the Messiah will be born soon.

The Roman guards stopped us and quized us on our names. They asked me "What is your name" I said "Sarah". "What is your father's name" I answered Joseph. Then they asked Vince, he said "Vincent" and "What is your Daddy's name?", he said "Daddy". They let us pass.

We saw some animals, the three kings showed us their gifts, three angels sang to us from up in the trees, we followed the star to the stable.

Vince got so close to Mary and Baby Jesus in wonder, that Mary started laughing. It was an awesome Journey.

Vincentscrib's Biggest Fans

Jen and Jason visited today! Really they just came so they could get their pics on the blog. For the occasion Annie and her family came too.

Later that night, we made a visit to see them. And made these monsters.

Letter to Dad

Dear Dad,

We talk about California every day. Looking forward to seeing you, moving to a black house, getting to sleep in a race-car-bed, and going to the airport to get to California. Today we made a pizza (a wooden one) with pieces for mommy, dad and the ants. Every day we are a new family of animals, today we are mommy cow, daddy cow and baby cow.

It's really cold here now and we heard California was warm. Until we get there we've been watching a lot of movies in bed, reading lots of books about trucks and cars and spending time with family and friends.

We miss you, Vince and Mommy

Somethin tells me It's all happening at the zoo

As Christina, Scott, Simon and Garfunkel all said:

The monkeys stand for honesty,
Giraffes are insincere,
And the elephants are kindly but
Theyre dumb.
Orangutans are skeptical
Of changes in their cages,
And the zookeeper is very fond of rum.

Zebras are reactionaries,
Antelopes are missionaries,
Pigeons plot in secrecy,
And hamsters turn on frequently.
What a gas! you gotta come and see
At the zoo.

AND WE SAW THEM ALL IN RI
the kangaroos...

AND BANANA SPLITS!
